“We’re waiting to see how Adamu will respond to the majority of the allegations leveled by Malam Salihu Lukman.

“This includes treating the party as if it were a personal property, with no input from NWC members.

“The second happened recently during the National Assembly leadership election.

“Virtually every member of the NWC knew he did not support some of Tinubu’s adopted candidates,” one of the insiders stated.

A close associate of Adamu, who requested anonymity, defended him.

He claimed that Lukman was following the orders of certain people who wanted the national chairman and secretary removed at any costs.

“Isn’t it evident that this has always been their game plan?

“However, I can’t say much because we haven’t seen the actual agenda for the NEC meeting,” he said.

NEC Sets To Settle Party’s Differences

The development comes three days after the ruling APC called its National Caucus and the long-awaited NEC meetings for July 10 and 11 to address the party’s problems.

The talks, which are intended to serve as avenues for resolving the party’s continuing issue, may also be were the hammer would come down on Adamu and Omisore.

President Bola Tinubu will preside over key sessions of the party’s two statutory organisations.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, former President Muhammadu Buhari, and previous and current APC governors would be present.

Former and current Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the National Working Committee, and other party stakeholders will also be present.

The declaration was signed by the APC’s national secretary and posted on the party’s official Twitter account.

Party’s Differences

Mallam Salihu Lukman, the APC’s North-West National Vice Chairman, has been at odds with Adamu.

He accused him of treating the party as if it were an army barrack, with him as the garrison commander.

Two months ago, the Kaduna politician accused both Adamu and Omisore of a ‘breach of the party’s constitution.’

Lukman further said that Nasarawa State’s two-term governor reduced NWC members to become rubber stamps to ratify choices he made on his own.

Internal squabbling quickly deteriorated into visible fissures within the party.

However, an urgent committee was formed to convince Lukman to abandon his case with the promise that all of his issues would be resolved.

This includes the invitation to the critical NEC meeting.

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena, praised the recent call for the NEC meeting on Friday as a welcome move.

Nabena expressed curiosity about what will be discussed in the National Caucus meeting, which he observed had not been convened in many years.
