Jaime Redknapp praised Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne and hailed him as the best midfielder in Premier League history.
The Belgian gave Pep Guardiola’s team the lead against Brighton with yet another outstanding display.
Following the game, Redknapp was all over De Bruyne, even going so far as to compare him to players like Yaya Toure, Frank Lampard, and Steven Gerrard.
Additionally, he discussed Phil Foden and how the young player is picking up tips from the Belgian.
Speaking after the match with Sky Sports, Redknapp said: “It’s the master and the master.
“With Phil Foden and what he is doing right now, he looks so good.
“He has always got the picture in his mind.
‘Kevin De Bruyne for me, we have seen some greats, such as Gerrard, Lampard, Yaya Toure. But he is the top one.
“I think he does things that are out of this world.
“The passes that he has seen, there are not many that can do that.
“I am in awe of him every time I watch him.
“You need good role models.
“It is great for Phil Foden to see Kevin De Bruyne every day.
“Just trying to learn and take something from him.
“There is no doubt that Phil Foden is playing so well because he has taken great lessons from Kevin De Bruyne.”

Kevin has been a hit at City ever since he joined from Wolfsburg in 2015.
Since then, the Belgian has gone on to become one of, if not the best, midfielders in the world.
He has won the Premier League five times and has set them on the path to win the title yet again.
