Again! NLC Threatens An Indefinite Strike Over Fuel Hike

Some affiliates of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in Abuja, have adhered to the directives by the congress to embark on a two -day nationwide warning strike.

IBrandTV found that on Tuesday, some banks and offices in Abuja remained under locks at a time when they were supposed to ordinarily be opened.

NLC in a communique issued at the end of its National Executive Council, said it would commence a two-day nationwide warning strike from September 5 to September 6.

The NLC also threatened to embark on indefinite nationwide strike within 14 working days or 21 days from when the communique was issued.

It also said this was until steps were taken by the government to address the excruciating mass suffering and impoverishment being experienced due to the removal of subsidy.
