Actor Taye Arimoro has responded to his indefinite suspension issued by Nollywood’s leading guilds.
He described their announcement as “inaccurate” while confirming that he will challenge the decision through legal channels.

The suspension stems from an alleged altercation on the set of Pieces of Love, where Arimoro was accused of physically assaulting crew members and escalating a disagreement with producer Peggy Ovire.
However, Arimoro insists he was the victim.
He claims that he was attacked after attempting to leave once his allotted call time ended.
According to his account, Ovire’s team allegedly blocked his vehicle, leading to his “detention and assault”.
He has since demanded ₦100 million in damages, describing Ovire’s version of events as “grossly misleading”.
Ovire, on the other hand, maintains that Arimoro was the aggressor.
This is a conclusion supported by the joint investigation conducted by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), and the Association of Movie Producers (AMP).
Following their findings, the guilds directed Arimoro to issue a public apology.
He release a corrective video detailing what truly transpired, and return to set to complete his remaining scenes under strict supervision.
Reacting to the ruling, Arimoro stated that the guilds’ report does not reflect the true sequence of events.
He added that his legal and management teams are preparing a full rebuttal.
