The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its indefinite nationwide strike following an agreement with the Federal Government.

In a statement shared on his X handle on Saturday, November 29, 2025, NARD President Mohammad Suleiman confirmed the suspension.

“The National Executive Council of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors has resolved to suspend the ongoing total, indefinite and comprehensive strike action,” he stated.

Suleiman explained that the suspension comes after a series of conciliatory meetings with the Federal Government and the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) addressing the association’s 19-point demands.
