The speculation went viral on Wednesday after ChaftsAfrica circulated a supposed Instagram Story attributed to the singer.
It claims he had relieved his mother of her duties.
Also, the rumour gained more traction when an X user, @Joyfultips, wrote:
“Just heard Burna Boy fired his mom, this whole thing is getting crazier.”
Responding directly to the claim, Nissi quoted the post and dismissed the reports as entirely fabricated.
She stated simply: “FAKE NEWS.”
The false narrative surfaced amid ongoing discussions surrounding Burna Boy’s tour setbacks.
