Akon is taking a firm stance in his ongoing divorce from his estranged wife, Tomeka, stating in newly filed court documents that he does not intend to pay spousal support.

The singer checked the option to terminate spousal support for Tomeka, his wife of 29 years.
This comes after Tomeka initially requested support in her divorce petition filed in September, though she also asked the court not to award any support to Akon showing both are protecting their finances.
In his response submitted at the Los Angeles Superior Court, Akon requested joint physical custody of their 17-year-old child.
Tomeka, on the other hand, is seeking joint legal custody but full physical custody.
The divorce developments follow a recent legal setback for Akon, who was arrested in Georgia last week for failing to appear in court over a charge of driving with a suspended license.
The case continues as the couple navigates custody arrangements, financial disputes, and the end of their nearly three-decade marriage.
