It was an unusual Thursday, August 21, 2025, on Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles, where passersby stopped in surprise at the sight of Lil Nas X dancing freely in the street.
Dressed only in his underwear and cowboy boots, the Old Town Road star invited strangers to “come to the party,” turning the quiet stretch of road into a scene of chaos and curiosity.

Moments later, police officers arrived after receiving calls about the incident. What began as a spectacle quickly turned tense when authorities allege the rapper suddenly “charged” at them.
The officers moved in, placing him under arrest on suspicion of battery.
But the drama didn’t end there. Soon after, the 24-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment amid concerns of a possible overdose, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed.
Videos of the moment, unverified but widely shared by TMZ, spread rapidly online, fueling conversations about the rapper’s health and state of mind.
For fans, the news came as a shock. Lil Nas X, born Montero Lamar Hill, is known for pushing boundaries in both music and image.
Since his breakout with Old Town Road in 2019 a record-breaking track that earned him two Grammys and a Country Music Association award he has remained in the spotlight, often dividing opinion.
His bold performances and provocative videos, especially the much-debated Montero (Call Me By Your Name), have made him both celebrated and criticised.
