Nigerian rapper and activist Falz has criticised the Federal Government for failing to provide an update on the abductors responsible for the recent Kebbi schoolgirls’ kidnapping, despite announcing the successful rescue of the victims.

The twenty-four students of Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State, were freed on Tuesday morning, 25 November.

Falz Slams Federal Government For Silence On Abductors After Announcing Rescue Of Kebbi Schoolgirls

This follows a coordinated effort involving the Office of the National Security Adviser and the State Security Service.

The girls were among the 25 students abducted on Monday, 17 November, when armed bandits stormed the school, tragically killing the Vice Principal during the attack.

One student managed to escape shortly after the abduction.

This leaves 24 victims in captivity until today’s operation secured their release.

While the government has shared news of the rescue, Falz has taken to social media to question why no information has been provided regarding the actual abductors, their arrest, or any steps taken to ensure accountability.

The rapper criticised the pattern of announcing “rescues” without revealing what happens to the perpetrators.

He expresses concern that this lack of transparency allows insecurity to persist.
