Grammy-winning Nigerian artiste Burna Boy has surprised fans with an unexpected revelation about what his life might have looked like if music hadn’t worked out.

In a candid exchange with a follower, the Afrofusion star listed some shocking alternatives to his music career, saying he could have been “stealing oil, playing basketball, a fraudster, a suicide bomber, or even a prostitute.”

The startling confession comes at a time when Burna Boy continues to break records on the global stage.
His recent collaboration with American rapper Gunna, WGFT, debuted at number 96 on the US Billboard Hot 100, bringing his total chart entries to seven the most for any African artiste.
He has also made history as the first African artiste to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive years, from 2021 to 2025.
