Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has introduced a fresh logo for the popular social media platform.
The new logo consists of a white “X” set against a black background, replacing the traditional Twitter blue bird symbol.
Linda Yaccarino, the CEO of Twitter, unveiled the logo with a tweet that said: “X is here! Let’s do this”.
The company further showcased the new logo by projecting it onto their offices in San Francisco, generating additional buzz among users.
Elon Musk also chimed in, tweeting: “And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds”.
Both Musk and the Twitter CEO featured the X logo on their handles, but it’s important to note that the blue bird icon is still visible throughout the platform.
However, the arrival of the new logo sparked a trending hashtag, “#GoodbyeTwitter,” as numerous users expressed criticism towards the X design, reminiscing about the old logo.
