Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos State has granted businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, ₦10m bail with two sureties in like sum.

The celebrity barman pleaded not guilty to tampering and abusing the naira during his trial.

Cubana Chief Priest was arraigned before Justice Kehinde Ogundare on three counts bordering on abuse of naira by allegedly spraying and tampering with the naira at a social event, contrary to the provisions of the Central Bank Act of 2007.

He was alleged to have sprayed the naira on February 13, 2024 at Eko Hotel.

Cubana Chief Priest was said to have also committed the offences while dancing during a social event.

He was said to have tampered with funds in the denomination of ₦500 notes issued by the CBN by spraying the same for two hours.

News of his bail has gotten tongues wagging as Nigerians air their various opinions.

The reason for this drama is no secret.

You see, it was just days ago that popular cross dresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, was handed a six-month jail term.

This had left Nigerians on the lookout for the next victim, as a handful of celebrities are guilty of the crime Bob was convicted for.

Nigerians are confused. How on earth could Cubana Chief Priest be granted bail while Bobrisky was sent to jail.

Could it be because of Bobrisky’s transgender status, or is it because he pleaded guilty?
