Tension is beginning to build up in Kogi State, as the governorship election scheduled to take place in the state on Saturday, November 11, draws near.
It all started after some thugs attacked the residence of the Campaign Director General of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Ibrahim Jibrin, on Tuesday.
Sadly, a police operative was killed during the incident, while six supporters of the SDP were reportedly abducted.
Now, some aggrieved members of SDP have stormed the Police headquarters in Abuja to protest the killings.
The incident happened at Anyigba, Kogi State.
The Protest
It was the governorship candidate of the party in the November 11 election, Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, who led the protest.

Also, with Ajaka were leaders of the party and supporters disgruntled by the killings in the state.
The SDP Governorship candidate demanded the removal and prosecution of the State Commissioner of Police, Bethrand Onuoha.
Compromising Lifes
Ajaka, on Tuesday, alleged that the Commissioner of Police in the state had compromised.
Kogi police is no longer securing lives and properties, he says.
As at the time of filing this report, Ajaka, the Campaign Director-General, Suleiman Babanawa (retd), and a former Kogi State Deputy Governor, Simon Achuba, were in a meeting with the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
