Elon Musk is known for many things and he has also added a cheerful giver to the list.
The Tesla CEO reveals that he donated $1.95bn shares of his electric car maker company to charity in 2022.
However, Musk did not mention the recipients of these shares or the donation.
He revealed this in a filing with United State regulators on Wednesday.
The document lodged with US Securities and Exchange Commission shows that the donation was made between August and December 2022.
Similarly, in 2021, Musk donated about $5.74bn worth of shares to charity and he noted that he planned to donate $20m to schools in Cameron County and $10m to Brownsville city in Texas in the same year.
Musk Search For A New Twitter CEO
Mr. Musk bought Twitter for $44bn in 2022 and now the company is close to bankruptcy.
However, some Tesla investors have blamed him for spending too much of his time trying to rebuild Twitter.
Mr. Musk has since revealed plans to get someone to run the company so he can focus on his other companies.
In November, during the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia, the Twitter CEO said he was working too much.
“My workload has recently increased quite a lot,” he said.

At the World Government Summit in Dubai, Mr. Musk revealed in a video link that he was planning to find someone to head Twitter before the end of the year.
“I’m guessing probably towards the end of this year would be good timing to find someone else to run the company, because I think it should be in a stable position around, you know, at the end of this year,” he said.
