Controversial rapper Speed Darlington has shared his reflections on living in the United States, saying his 23 years there brought him more trouble than progress.

In a video the entertainer compared his experience in the U.S. with his life in Nigeria, stating that he returned home with nothing to show for his time abroad.
According to him, Nigeria became the place where he found success, confidence, and financial stability, including building his mansion with money earned locally.
Darlington explained that life in America negatively affected his self-confidence and well-being, which he linked to racial challenges and social isolation.
He said the environment was not supportive of his mental and physical health, adding that he often felt lonely during long stays.
While noting that he still has access to travel to the U.S. to visit family, the rapper stressed that he prefers brief visits before returning to Nigeria.
He described Nigeria as a place where he feels more comfortable, confident, and fulfilled.
The artiste concluded that despite spending over two decades in the U.S., it was Nigeria that truly rewarded his efforts and gave him a sense of purpose.
