Carter Efe, a content creator and streamer, spoke about his relationship with Afrobeats star Wizkid in an interview with BBC Pidgin, sharing both admiration and disappointment.

Firstly, he praised Wizkid’s music and highlighted his talent, creativity, and unique sound.
He said he has always respected Wizkid as one of the most influential artists in the industry, and he continues to value his craft.
However, he also explained a personal issue.
He feels Wizkid’s personality does not reflect the same level of appreciation he has shown over the years.
As a result, he believes his support has not received recognition or response.
“My Admiration For Wizkid”
He said: “My relationship with him? I love Wizkid.
I won’t lie.

I love Wizkid.
I love his craft, man.
But I have issues with his personality.
I showed that guy love, he didn’t show me love.
But I still love his music and style.”
In addition, he linked his feelings to his 2022 track Machala, which he created as a tribute to Wizkid out of genuine admiration.
The song gained widespread attention and significantly raised his profile in the entertainment space.
“Machala And Public Recognition”
However, despite its success, Carter Efe said Wizkid did not publicly acknowledge the song or the gesture behind it.
Finally, he stressed that he did not create the song for money or fame.
Instead, he made it as a heartfelt expression of respect for an artist he truly values.
