Afrobeats superstar Davido has been applauded online after a video surfaced showing him politely asking his friends to stop smoking during his wedding celebrations, out of respect for his father, Dr Adedeji Adeleke.
The now-viral clip was filmed at the singer’s white wedding in Miami over the weekend.

The clip captured the moment Davido turned to his groomsmen, which included his cousin B-Red, singer Zlatan Ibile, and other close friends — and said:
“My daddy is coming, if you’re smoking, off it.”
The gesture has drawn widespread praise from fans and social media users, who commended Davido for showing courtesy and honour towards his father during such a significant occasion.
The wedding between Davido and his long-time partner, Chioma, had been highly anticipated by fans and well-wishers.
Adding to the sentimental value of the ceremony, Pastor Joseph Adebisiola and two other priests who officiated the event were the same clergymen who presided over the wedding of Davido’s parents years ago.
