Social media critic VeryDarkMan has admitted that he personally initiated the process that led to the arrest of activist Harrison Gwamnishu, who is currently in police custody in Benin City, Edo State.
Speaking during a Facebook live session on Friday, VeryDarkMan confirmed that Gwamnishu was picked up by the police on Thursday night.

He explained that his decision to contact law enforcement followed reports he received about an incident allegedly involving Gwamnishu in Auchi, Edo State.
According to him, he was deeply disappointed by the information he gathered and initially advised those involved not to publicise the matter online.
However, a video later surfaced on social media, prompting him to confront the individuals involved.
He revealed that one of the people who shared the video claimed it was to clear his name after being accused of having links to the case.
VeryDarkMan Response
Also, he describes it as misleading and an attempt to manipulate public emotions despite being aware of the true facts.

He expressed hope that once Gwamnishu regains his freedom, he will publicly speak honestly about what transpired in Auchi.
