The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has stated that it will push for the prosecution and blacklisting of social media influencers VeryDarkMan (VDM) and Mr Jollof following their in-flight altercation at Asaba International Airport on Monday, November 17, 2025.

Michael Achimugu, the NCAA spokesperson, responded to concerns raised by social media users noting perceived double standards in how such incidents are handled.
Some commentators highlighted that Comfort Emmanson, a Nigerian woman involved in a confrontation with airline staff, was deboarded, stripped, arraigned, and imprisoned, while VDM and Mr Jollof were reportedly released on bail.
In a post on X, Achimugu explained that it is primarily the responsibility of the airline to file charges against the men.
However, he added that if the airline fails to act, the NCAA has the authority to approach the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to ensure prosecution and possible blacklisting.
