Nigerian dancer and former Big Brother Naija star, Roseline Omokhoa Afije, popularly known as Liquorose, has opened up about how her first attempt to enter the reality show was abruptly cut short.

In an interview with VJ Adams, Liquorose revealed that she was set to join the 2020 edition of BBNaija and was already backstage dressed, made up, and waiting to be introduce when organisers decided not to call her out.
“That really hurt me,” she said, adding that the rejection left her depressed and almost made her abandon the dream entirely.
Liquorose and fellow aspirant Jaypaul were eventually barred from joining the 2020 lineup after testing positive for COVID-19.
Both later returned to audition successfully for the 2021 season.
She admitted that she initially refused to audition again until a friend persuaded her.
“I just auditioned and forgot about it. One day, I checked my spam folder and saw that I had been selected. It was crazy,” she recalled.
Liquorose went on to become the runner-up of Big Brother Naija Season 6 in 2021, finishing just behind eventual winner Whitemoney.
