Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile has opened up about how becoming a father at the age of 25 transformed his life and priorities.
The Zanku crooner revealed that the birth of his son five years ago made him re-evaluate his lifestyle and spending habits.

Speaking on a recent episode of the “Is This A Safe Space?” podcast, Zlatan admitted that fatherhood brought both emotional and financial pressure.
He shared that moving to London and paying rent while raising a child made him fear whether he could keep up financially.
“The birth of my son changed me. It made me realise that life was getting more serious.”
“I wasn’t prepared. I started paying house rent in London at 25.”
He disclosed that “I was scared I might not be able to keep up with the bills because some people said I might not stay relevant in the industry for more than three years.”
The rapper added that fatherhood taught him financial discipline and prompted him to cut down on excessive spending.
“I became more serious with managing my finances, limited spending, and started saving for diapers,” he recalled.
Zlatan Ibile also confessed that his son’s birth made him regret some of his past actions and helped him drop certain habits.
