Senator Ned Nwoko has come under heavy criticism on social media following viral footage of his wife, actress Regina Daniels, in a distressed state.
This is a video that has sparked nationwide discussions about domestic violence and accountability among public figures.

The controversy began when a video surfaced online on Saturday.
The video shows Regina Daniels in what appeared to be an emotional breakdown, alleging domestic abuse in her husband’s home.
The clip quickly went viral, drawing concern and outrage from fans, activists, and fellow celebrities.
However, in a statement released on Sunday via his social media handles, the Delta North lawmaker denied the allegations.
He claims Regina’s actions were influenced by drugs and alcohol.
Also, he alleged that the actress “needs urgent rehabilitation” and warned that he fears for her safety if not treated.
According to him, Regina has relocated to a place “where she has full access to drugs.”
Also, Ned Nwoko also named two individuals — Sammy, alleged to be the actress’s brother, and another person he described as “a tiny evil devil called Ann” — as her alleged drug suppliers.
But rather than calm the storm, the senator’s statement has intensified public backlash.
Many social media users criticised his tone, calling it defensive and dismissive.
However, others accused him of attempting to gaslight his wife’s claims instead of addressing them responsibly.
While a few voices have expressed support for Nwoko’s version of events, the majority online are demanding a transparent investigation and urging that the actress’s wellbeing be prioritised over politics or public image.
