Afrobeats star Ruger has shut down rumours claiming he is feuding with Davido, insisting that he deeply respects and loves the music icon.
The clarification follows online accusations from Davido’s fans, who alleged that Ruger was aligning himself with Wizkid amid the long-running rivalry between the two Afrobeats giants.
One fan even wrote:
“When you’re ready to apologise and beg Davido publicly, your song will enter No. 1.”
Reacting in a series of posts, Ruger dismissed the narrative, questioning why an apology was being demanded when no offence had been committed.
He wrote:
“And did Davido tell you I did anything wrong to him?”‘I Love Davido, and I Know He Loves Me Too’
Ruger went on to reaffirm his admiration for Davido, stressing that the supposed feud exists only in the minds of overzealous fans.

He explained that individuals within Davido’s team still support him publicly, proving there is no animosity between them.
“I love Davido and I know he loves me too. People on his team still repost my stuff. I will never believe this agenda that he doesn’t rock with me unless he says it to my face or publicly. But if he ever says it… everywhere go first blur sha,” he added playfully.
