Nigerian artist Ogbonnaya Nkemdirim, popularly known as 9ikky, recently released a six-track EP inspired by life experiences.
Inspired By Real Life
The Rivers State entertainer says the project captures struggles, emotions, and relatable human experiences.
Furthermore, he designed the EP to create emotional connections through meaningful storytelling and realistic messages.
Speaking with newsmen, 9ikky described his music as honest, emotional, and deeply realistic.
“My music elevates moods, provokes emotions, and preaches reality,” the artist said.
9ikky Journey Into Music
Meanwhile, his musical journey began in 2012 after he heard lyrics from Nigerian rapper Nigga Raw.
Inspired by the song, he immediately started writing lyrics and practising rap music regularly.

Soon afterwards, his curiosity transformed into a strong passion for music, performance, and creative storytelling.
Originally from Arochukwu in Abia State, he spent his childhood in Port Harcourt and Bonny Island.
Building A Music Career
As the first child in a family of five, he successfully balanced education with entertainment interests.
Between 2014 and 2018, he studied Geology at the University of Calabar.
During those years, he competed in rap contests and won recognition through impressive performances.
Today, 9ikky continues growing his music career through resilience, passion, authentic storytelling, and personal experiences.
