Singer Sabrina Carpenter has publicly criticized the White House after her hit song “Juno” was used in a social media video promoting immigration arrests.

The incident drew sharp reactions from both the pop star and a White House spokesperson.
The singer responded on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, expressing outrage over the clip, which featured the lyric “Have you ever tried this one?” from her chart-topping track.
Sabrina Carpenter described the video as “evil and disgusting” and urged officials:
“Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”
In response, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson defended the video, stating,
“Here’s a Short n’ Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter: we won’t apologise for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country.”
“Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?”
The controversy comes just days after pop star Olivia Rodrigo criticised the administration for using her music in a separate deportation-related post, calling it “racist, hateful propaganda.”
Despite the backlash, the White House has not removed the video and continues to defend its content, saying it highlights efforts to target violent offenders.
