Nigerian chef and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci has announced plans to cook 250 bags of rice as she attempts to prepare the largest pot of Jollof rice.

The historic cooking event is scheduled for September 12, 2025, and will feature a giant pot measuring six metres wide and six metres tall.
Hilda shared a video detailing the mathematical calculations behind her rice quantity, showing fans how she arrived at 250 bags.
In the video caption, she wrote: “The biggest question since I announced HOW MUCH RICE? Jollof this big doesn’t happen without math.”
“From raw rice to tomato paste, every grain counts! Watch me break down the numbers for the largest pot of Nigerian jollof ever.”
“Come 12th September, we will all see it come together with my @ginonaija. If you finish this video, tell me in the comment section how many bags of rice we are making.”
