This increase in demand has forced some persons to throw caution in the wind and do anything to get that job.

In Texas, an issues is coming up involving some Nigerians.

The Texas Board of Nursing in the United States has filed official charges against 23 nurses for faking their certificates.

Those affected are of African heritage, including at least 18 Nigerians.

However, a statement made on the Texas Board of Nursing’s Nurse Portal, on Sunday, February 19, 2023, stated that “formal charges are not a final disciplinary action”.

“A nurse is allowed to continue working as a nurse while official charges are pending, it was stated.

“The Board has officially charged the following nurses for earning educational certificates falsely, according to the announcement.

“If there is reason to believe that a nurse has broken one of the laws listed in Tex. Occ. Code 301.452(b) or another statute, the Board may pursue formal charges against the nurse.

List Of Affected Nurses

Some of the affected nurses are listed as follows: Abanda, Jacob Atambili, Abiodun, Yetunde Felicia, Addai, Agnes Fosuah, Adelakun, Abiodun Aveez, Adelekan, Joseph Adewale, Adeoye, Vivien Temitope, Adewale, Modinat Abidemi, Afolabi, Olufemi Toun, and Afolabi, Omowunmi F.

Others are Agbo, Odumegwu Steve, Ajibade, Charlot Omotayo, Akande, Olabisi Christiana, Akhigbe, Catherine and Akinrolabu, Folasade Margaret.

Also in the list are Ako, Esiri Rachael, Akpan, Rosemary Moses, Alimi, Bukola A., Anaaba, Awingrug Musah, Ani, Ndirika Justina, Anthony-Annor, Spendilove, Aroh, Nchekwube C., Asanga, Albert Nshanui, and Ayodeji and Sherifat Olubunmi.

It noted that the “list will be updated continuously as the Board receives additional information about the fraudulent diploma/transcript scheme”.
