In a surprising turn of events on social media, Elon Musk has announced a limit to the number of tweets users can visit each day on Twitter.
The move is a temporary measure to address “extreme levels” of data scraping.
Verified accounts can now read 10,000 posts a day, while unverified accounts are limited to 1,000 and new unverified accounts to 500.
New Read Limits
Verified accounts are limited to reading 6,000 posts per day.
Unverified accounts to 600 posts per day.
New unverified accounts to 300 per day.

The announcement raised complaints among users, who posted thousands of messages. Hashtags like “#TwitterDown”, #RateLimitExceeded,” and “#ThanksElon” were trending.
