The people of Ondo State mourn today, as the funeral service of the former Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, commences at St. Andrews Church, Imola Street, Owo.
The final journey of Akeredolu’s his earthen body is on, and everyone is paying last homage to the man whose death is still fresh in the minds of many.
Akeredolu died on December 27, 2023, at the age of 67 after battling a protracted illness.
He died in a German hospital.
The Funeral Rites
The late governor’s burial commenced on Monday, February 19, 2024, and will span the entire week.

Today, Friday marks the culmination of the ceremonies, with the main funeral service currently happening at St Andrews Church in Owo.
