The tech community was hit by sad news last week when the death of CashApp founder, Bob Lee was announced.

The 43-year-old Mr Lee was a victim of a fatal stabbing but he succumb to his injuries in the hospital.

Law enforcement officials announced an investigation into his death and have recently made an arrest.

On Thursday, a friend of Mr Lee was arrested and he would be charged with the murder of the tech executive.

The friend, Nima Momeni is a 38-year-old computer entrepreneur and consultant.

According to Mr Lee’s family, Mr Momeni is well known by the deceased and his family.

However, Mr Momeni was apprehended following an investigation that points him to be the lead suspect in the killing of the tech executive.

The Charge

The suspect was detained in the San Fransico County Jail on Thursday morning and he will be charged on Friday.

A look into Mr Momeni’s criminal records shows that he was given a misdemeanor charge in 2011 for carrying a switchblade.

However, the case was dropped after he accepted a plea agreement.

Also, law enforcement representatives have acknowledged growing worries about random violence.

Although they acknowledge this, they claim Mr Lee’s death did not follow that trend.

“This has nothing to do with San Francisco– it has to do with human nature,” says Police Chief Bill Scott.

Mr Lee was stabbed to death near downtown San Francisco about nine days ago.
