From having to prove that he is a Lagosian to proving that he attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Mr Rhodes-Vivour has had to debunk many rumours and prove allegations false.

Again, another accusing finger is pointing at him.

Jandor Makes Allegation Against Rhodes-Vivour

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, made an allegation against the Labour Party’s candidate.

Jandor claimed that his LP counterpart was being endorsed by godfathers such as the PDP chieftain, Chief Bode George.

“I fought against godfatherism in the APC, Lagos.

“My refusal in recognising (Chief) Bode George as a godfather in the PDP is a major reason for his endorsement of Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of LP against my candidature in the PDP,” Jandor said.

Just like his party’s presidential candidate Peter Obi, Mr Rhodes-Vivour cross-carpeted from the PDP to LP in search of greener pastures.

LP Does Not Have Godfathers

Responding to Jandor, the LP candidate says his ambition to occupy the state governorship seat does not have the hand of any godfather.

In his reaction, Rhodes-Vivour disclosed there was no godfather in the LP.

Rhodes-Vivour said: “In the Labour Party, there’s no godfather. I have no godfather.

“I had no godfather in PDP”.

Also, he said all he had were mentors and leaders.

Mr. Rhodes-Vivour further accused Jandor of failing to keep a promise he mad to the PDP.

According to him, Jandor promised to bring half of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP.

However, the LP candidate said his PDP counterpart is yet to do that with the elections a few days away.

“There were rumours of money being embezzled. Money meant for rally and elections.

“The narrative he brought to get the ticket was that he would bring half of the APC to add to the PDP.

“That was the story. But all of them have gone back to the APC now. Where is the value?

“He got the ticket because all the leaders of the party on national level, from Ayu, even Obasanjo supported him.

“And now when tables have turned, he’s talking about godfatherism,” Rhodes-Vivour says.
