President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led government has concluded plans to provide free petrol/fuel to citizens of Kebbi State in collaboration with the state government.
Kebbi State Governor, Nasiru Idris, announced this over the weekend.
He says arrangement has been finalised for the provision of the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to farmers during the dry season farming period.
According to the governor, the initiative is aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity in the state.
The Collaboration
Governor Idiris gave the hint during a recent address to supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yauri, a local government headquarter in the state.
The governor highlighted his collaboration with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku-Bagudu.
This is to ensure the efficient distribution of fuel to the farmers.

Idris also promised that his administration would distribute 12,000 solar-powered water pumps to farmers.
He claimed that his government had already distributed 6,000 solar-powered water pumps to farmers.
