The former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has revealed the main reason he backed Senator Godswill Akpabio to emerge as the Senate President of the 10th National Assembly.
You see, not many understand the happenings in the Nigerian political terrain and in most cases, the moves and strategies deployed by these politicians beat human imagination.
Politicians are very calculative.
Now, Wike has recounted how Akpabio donated the sum of ₦200 million to his campaign in 2014 and 2015, stressing that one good turn deserves another.

One Good Turn
The former governor stated this during his special thanksgiving service organised by his family at the St. Peters Deanery, Rumuepirikom, Obio-Akpor area of the state, on Sunday.

He explained that Akpabio defied criticisms to back his governorship ambition in 2015.
“When I was running in 2014 and 2015 he came out and supported me. He gave me ₦200m for that election.
“That is why I said one good turn deserves another. I supported him this time and I thank God he won.”
