It says the rehabilitation work on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway ahs reached its last phase.

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, in a press release signed by his Special Adviser on Communications, Hakeem Bello, empathised with members of the public who have had to endure longer than usual traffic as the reconstruction work in the heavily built–up stretch progresses towards the finish line.

Also, he said vehicle breakdowns had  complicated the intense effort of authorities to alleviate the sufferings of commuters.

According to him, there is also enormous volume of traffic that had to be accommodated at the same time on the route.

However, Mr. Fashola pointed out that in order to lessen the inconvenience for drivers, the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing is collaborating with the Lagos State Government, all traffic management, and security organisations.
