The road to fame in the Nigerian entertainment industry is surely not an easy ride.
Many artistes especially the females are having a real hard time finding their way.
Most times, when successful artistes recount their journey to fame, it leaves their audience heartbroken.
This gives an insight into how many upcoming artistes are being harassed and exploited by their senior colleagues in a bid to hit the limelight.
Nigerian singer Olawale Ashimi, popularly known as Brymo, is one of such senior artistes.
He could be bold to ask a woman to grace his bed in other to feature in her track.
Brymo made this astonishing revelation himself.
According to him, he turned down Simi’s request for a song feature because she declined his request for an intimate relationship.
Intimate Intensity
In a voice note released by Brymo online, he disclosed that a part of him desires remorse for the condition he gave Simi.
To him, he didn’t know she was with Adekunle Gold at the time.
“Though AG reached out later, I like to think that he didn’t check in again, by will or fate because I turned down same request many years before.
“I also did same with Simi.. said I wanted to get intimate to create intensity, I didn’t know they were together of course.”
Requirement For Collaboration
The singer further revealed that he gave Ghanaian singer, Efya, same condition.
He said all he wanted was to experience what it felt like to make music with someone he was bedding.

“There’s a part of me that wants to feel remorse for my requirement for a collaboration with the talented Simi
“Yet, I am reminded that I was indeed and honestly seeking to experience the outcome of the making music with female act I was bedding
“I proposed same to efya then.”
Interestingly, this statement by Brymo also exonerates Simi from the class of female artistes who jump on beds to get acceptance and rise to limelight.
We are hoping that this issue will not rise to an unfriendly level.
