Dino Melaye, a representative for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council, is insisting that the bank and the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration favoured Bola Tinubu, the incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) party’s presidential candidate, during the conduct of the general election of 2023.

He links his claim to the issues around the old ₦200, ₦500, and ₦1000 notes.

You see, the Central Bank of Nigeria had set the exchange of the notes for January 31, 2023, but due to the unavailability of new naira notes and their consequent effects on the economy, the apex bank extended the deadline till February 10.

President Buhari, however, prolong the sue of the old ₦200 notes by two months. He made this pronouncement in a live broadcast.

However, Melaye believes the entire thing is beyond what Nigerians perceive it to be.

‘Greatest Conmen In Africa’

In a video posted on Friday morning via his Twitter profile, Dino Melaye, made incriminating statements in response to the results of the election on Saturday.

“We will be assisted by God Almighty to make sure that the people’s mandate freely given to Atiku Abubakar is retrieved.

“We spent over ₦400 billion just for a caricature show.

“INEC (Independent National Electoral Commission) deceived Nigerians.

“President Muhammadu Buhari and Professor Yakubu Mahmood, they are the greatest conmen that came out of Africa.

“The whole concept of redesigning Naira was a deception because money was given to Bola Ahmad Tinubu and APC shared new notes across the country on Election Day while PDP was starved of funds.

“The issues of going to court, accusing (Godwin) Emefiele were all part of the scam, was all part of the drama, was all part of the deception. A ground-style deception against Nigerians.

“But I want to warn that this is not the end. This is not the end.” He stated

Melaye urged all opposition party supporters to continue supporting Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential nominee, in order to guarantee that the claimed injustice is not allowed to stand.
