APC Presidential Campaign Council Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a tweet on Friday.

“Arise TV cameraman clandestinely streamed live Asíwájú Bola Tinubu’s event in Lagos today. He was not authorised by anyone.

“He was clearly on espionage, but was busted and sent out. Is journalism by stealth part of the practice by Arise News?” Onanuga tweeted.

The explanation given for this act has led some persons to concluded that there might be bans on some press activities if Tinubu is elected.

Twitter users also used the comment section to condemn the act, asking the party what it is hiding.

Responding to critics, Onanuga tweeted,” For clarity, the Tinubu-Shettima campaign is not against Arise TV covering its events. The Lagos NESG dialogue was not meant for TV live coverage. It was to be recorded and shown later. Other TV houses did not breach the rule, except Arise News. And it was done by stealth. Why?”

Tinubu and the APC had turned down several invitations by Arise TV and other media houses to discuss his plans for the country with Nigerians.
