The burial arrangements for late gospel singer Omije Ojumi, whose real name is Bunmi Akinnaanu, have been officially cancelled following an alleged crisis within her family.
The development was confirmed by her colleague, Lanre Alewilese.
This is in a statement shared via his Instagram page.

Speaking on behalf of the burial planning committee, Alewilese disclosed that unresolved family issues necessitated the suspension of all burial plans.
“This is to inform you that all burial plans of our late sister and colleague, Bunmi Akinnaanu, have been cancelled due to issues arising within her family. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause,” he stated.
Prior to the announcement, the committee had revealed that the late gospel musician was scheduled to be laid to rest on Wednesday, January 20, 2026.
