The heartbreaking development has reportedly left family members, close friends, and fans in deep shock and mourning.

Although details surrounding the alleged incident remain unclear, TVC has reportedly confirmed the news, sparking widespread reactions across social media and within the entertainment industry.

Alex Ekubo is widely celebrated for his outstanding performances in Nollywood romantic comedies and drama films.

Over the years, he has built a reputation as one of the industry’s most versatile and commercially successful actors.

The actor first gained national attention after emerging as the first runner-up in the 2010 Mr Nigeria competition before rising to fame through his role in the blockbuster movie Weekend Getaway.

In 2020, he was recognised by the United Nations as one of the “Most Influential People of African Descent Under 40” for his impact on entertainment and humanitarian contributions across Africa.

The reports come weeks after fellow Nollywood actor Ikechukwu Ogbonna addressed concerns about Alex Ekubo’s prolonged absence from social media and public appearances.

Speaking in a video shared online, IK Ogbonna revealed that Alex had attended his sister’s wedding and appeared healthy and in good spirits.
