Popular Nigerian influencer Tunde Ednut has weighed in on the arrest of Ann, the best friend of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, linking the development to the actress’s recent public appearance with an alleged new boyfriend abroad.
Ednut made the claim in an Instagram post on Monday evening while addressing Senator Ned Nwoko, Regina Daniels’ estranged husband, following reports of Ann’s arrest by the Lagos State Police Command.
According to reports, the arrest was based on allegations of theft and other complaints reportedly filed by the senator.
The arrest comes days after Regina Daniels was spotted in a club overseas with a man widely believed to be her new partner, a development that has fueled public speculation amid the couple’s ongoing marital crisis.
Reacting to the situation, Tunde Ednut urged the senator to move on and allow Regina Daniels and those close to her live their lives without interference.
While acknowledging Nwoko’s status and influence, the influencer appealed for restraint.
“We know you are powerful and influential, but it’s enough. At this point, you have to move on,” Ednut wrote, criticizing what he described as repeated attempts to arrest people close to the actress.
He suggested that Regina’s recent appearance with the alleged new boyfriend may have triggered the latest arrest, but insisted that the senator should let go.
Ednut further reminded Nwoko of his responsibilities as a public office holder, urging him to focus on his duties rather than personal matters.
