Imisi turned 24 on Tuesday, hosted a lavish birthday party attended by several celebrities.

This includes Eddie Watson, Bisola Aiyeola, Kiekie, Mercy Eke, Brodashaggi, BBNaija Kola, Mide, Mitchy, Isabella, Kayvee and others.

During a question-and-answer session at the event, Nkechi Blessing asked Imisi whether she would forgive and reconcile with her mother.

She refers to the widely discussed strained relationship between the BBNaija winner and her birth mother.

The question quickly sparked criticism online, with many social media users describing it as insensitive and inappropriate.

Reacting to the backlash, Nkechi Blessing released a video message in which she expressed regret over the incident and apologised to those who felt offended.

I sincerely want to apologise to anybody who got offended by the question I asked Imisi a couple of hours ago at her party,” she said.

“If you find my question offensive, I am sorry. Please find a place in your heart to forgive me. Whoever is dragging me, fighting me or abusing me, please don’t be offended.”

She stressed that her intention was not to provoke controversy or seek attention.

The issue is linked to earlier claims by Imisi’s mother, who had publicly alleged that her daughter abandoned her after winning the Big Brother Naija show.

However, Imisi has since maintained that she values her family and is taking care of her mother.

Imisi emerged winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10 in October 2025.
