Billionaire tech entrepreneur Elon Musk and Grammy-winning singer Billie Eilish have sparked a public feud after the pop star criticised him on social media, accusing the Tesla CEO of hoarding wealth instead of addressing global challenges.

The conflict erupted after Eilish posted a series of messages on Instagram, condemning Musk for accumulating massive wealth while, in her view, failing to use it to combat urgent global crises.
Her comments followed reports that a proposed Tesla compensation package could position Musk to become the world’s first trillionaire.
In her posts, the 22-year-old singer argued that Musk could use his resources to fight hunger, protect endangered species, or support rebuilding efforts in conflict-ravaged regions, but chooses not to.
Musk responded on X with a sharp retort, reacting to a screenshot of Eilish’s remarks by writing:
“She’s not the sharpest tool in the shed.”
Eilish has been outspoken recently about extreme wealth inequality.
At the WSJ Innovator Awards last month an event attended by several billionaires, including Mark Zuckerberg she questioned the need for the existence of billionaires, stating that no one should control that level of wealth.
The singer has also committed more than $11 million from her current tour to climate and humanitarian causes, reinforcing her stance on global responsibility.
