The driver involved in the fatal car accident that claimed the lives of two close associates of professional boxer Anthony Joshua has appeared before the Sagamu Magistrate Court in Ogun State.

Adeniyi Kayode, 46, was arraigned on January 20 as his trial officially commenced.
Also, he was charged with four counts.
This includes dangerous driving causing death, reckless and negligent driving, driving without due care and attention, and driving without a valid national driver’s licence.
During the court session, the magistrate granted Kayode bail in the sum of ₦5 million, with two sureties.
However ,the magistrate adjourned the case until February 25.
The tragic accident occurred on December 29, 2025, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Preliminary reports indicated that the crash was caused by excessive speed and wrongful overtaking.
While Anthony Joshua survived the incident, the crash resulted in the deaths of his personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami.
