Nigerian singer Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has expressed his excitement after earning his first-ever Grammy nomination.

The artiste was nominated alongside Davido for their collaborative hit ‘With You’ in the Best African Music Performance category at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.
Reacting via his Instagram page, Omah Lay admitted he was thrilled about the recognition but noted that he does not care much about awards.
Omah Lay, however, expressed a strong desire for Davido whom he described as “the realest friend I’ve had in a while”to win the award.
“I’m excited about this Grammy nomination haha but fr fr I don’t give a sh!t about awards.”
“Yeah but I really want it for OBO! He is the realest friend I’ve had in a while, he stood by during my hardest times,” he wrote.
Davido, despite multiple Grammy nominations, is yet to secure a win.
The 2026 Grammy Awards will take place on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, airing globally on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
