Meghan Markle is reportedly making her long-awaited return to acting after an eight-year break.
The Duchess of Sussex will appear as herself in Close Personal Friends, an upcoming Amazon MGM Studios production.

An insider told The Sun that the project marks a “massive moment” for Markle, describing it as a sign that she’s ready to reconnect with her first love acting.
“She has been swamped with offers but this one felt right,” the source said.
“It’s Meghan’s way of gently putting her toe back in the water and seeing how she enjoys being back on set.
Everyone involved is super-excited and sworn to secrecy.
Prince Harry is, of course, very supportive and just wants her to do what brings her joy.”
People reported that Markle has already filmed her scenes.
“She has a small part. She seemed very relaxed and happy.”
This marks Meghan Markle’s first acting role since leaving Suits in 2017, where she portrayed paralegal Rachel Zane for nine seasons before her engagement to Prince Harry.
The couple later stepped back from royal duties and settled in Montecito, California, in 2020, seeking privacy and a new chapter in the United States.
