Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has revealed that she almost became a pastor at the age of 19 before walking away from what she believes was a divine calling.
The actress made the revelation during a viral livestream interview following her recent reconciliation with her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill.

She spoke extensively about her faith, life struggles, and spiritual journey.
According to Dikeh, she has felt a strong spiritual calling since childhood but chose to run from it, believing that God wanted her to experience life fully before stepping into her purpose.
“I have always had this calling right from when I was a child. At 19, I was going to be a pastor until I just ran away for no reason,” she said. “I’ve been in church since I left secondary school, so I’ve known God intimately and intensely from a very young age.”
The mother of one attributed her survival through years of personal and public trials to divine intervention.
She insisted that her life experiences were part of God’s preparation process.
“If you watch what has happened in my life, it’s not ordinary. Anybody who walked in my shoes may not have survived,” she stated. “God called me for something, and He needed me to go through all of these things to come out as the firebrand that I am today.”
Dikeh further revealed that her spiritual calling centres on prayer and healing.
Also, she hinted at plans to launch an online prayer platform, subject to divine direction.
“Prayers and healing are my calling. God can heal—it depends on what He asks me to do,” she said. “At this stage of my life, I’m just letting God lead. God asked me to start praying for people online, and that’s what I’m doing. I’m just a vessel.”
