Nigerian singer Waje, whose full name is Aituaje Iruobe, has revealed that she was the voice behind the uncredited chorus on P-Square’s 2005 hit track “Do Me.”

In an interview, Waje explained that although her soulful vocals contributed to the success of the song, she neither received payment nor acknowledgment for her work.
The track, from P-Square’s Get Squared album, became one of the defining Afrobeats hits of the 2000s, but Waje was noticeably absent from the music video and official credits.
The revelation, which Waje has mentioned in past interviews, has resurfaced on social media, sparking conversations about fair recognition and compensation for backup artistes in the Nigerian music industry.
Fans have expressed support for the singer on X (formerly Twitter), while P-Square has yet to respond to the renewed discussions.
