Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has applauded Afrobeats superstar Davido for including Yola as a key destination on his 5ive Alive Tour.
He describes the visit as a validation of the state’s growing security and development strides.

The governor received Davido at the Government House, Yola, where he commended the singer’s global impact and thanked him for shining a spotlight on Adamawa.
In a statement shared on X, Governor Fintiri wrote:
“It was a pleasure to welcome global star Davido to the Government House, Yola. We are especially pleased that he chose Adamawa as a key stop on his five-state tour. His presence underscores our progress and reflects our administration’s commitment to improved security and urban renewal. We are honoured by his visit.”
Later in the evening, Davido thrilled fans at a sold-out concert held at the 25,000-capacity Mahmud Ribadu Square
This is an event organisers described as one of the most electrifying performances of the tour so far.
Adding to the excitement, Adamawa native and former Big Brother Naija star, Sultana Farida Auduson Ibrahim, made a surprise appearance.
