Nigerian singer Skales has responded to criticism following his recent testimony at Harvesters Church, admitting that his initial reaction to the backlash may have been too quick.

The musician said he later reflected on the situation with more calm and clarity before addressing it properly.
Skales explained that every believer has a role to play in God’s work, whether from the pulpit or outside the church.
He stressed that callings beyond the church space, including music, film, sports, and teaching, are equally important and meaningful.
Reaffirming his stance, the singer said there is nothing wrong with publicly sharing what God has done in his life.
He referenced 1 Corinthians 12:28 to support his position and made it clear that he has no issue testifying openly about his faith, regardless of public opinion.
