Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, has died after being shot during a campus event at Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem, Utah, on Wednesday, September 11, 2025. He was 31.
Authorities said Charlie Kirk was rushed to a hospital in critical condition following the shooting but later succumbed to his injuries.
U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed Kirk’s death in a post on Truth Social, describing him as “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk.”
“No one understood or had the heart of the youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.”
“He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us.”
“Melania and my sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!” Trump wrote.
